When I was first asked to produce this styled shoot, I was told that the theme had to be the beach, which would not have been an issue in sunny warm southern California with its over-the-top glamour, loud energy and fast crowds, but in the Bay Area, I knew there had to be a completely 180 approach. With the direction of an amazing stylist, a daring photographer and an almost unlimited wardrobe of vintage clothing, we approached this project with a different eye. Cue the mysterious Half Moon Bay fog along with the inspiration of love letters, and suddenly — magically — the setting became one of quiet intimacy, private moments and a romance that was luxurious all on its own.
